2013 Overview
In September, several members took over for a short weekend break to Jervis Bay – some 3 hours south of Sydney. Being collected from Sydney airport we ventured to Huskisson Beach (one of the beaches of Jervis Bay) and stayed in the little holiday park.
We caught up with the Vincentia Van Gones rugby club at their home base, the local bowling club before the carnival and participated in the Bloodyslow Cup the next day. It was unusually hot at that time and the games finished a little earlier so everyone could settle down to the after game activities.
We had Sunday bare foot lawn bowls and BBQ breakfast. Members went off to the quite substantial markets across the road from the bowling club where we bought a harness for George (to stop him getting away).
